In one of the world’s most intense conflicts, countless people from Myanmar, including various ethnic minorities, are forced from their homes and repeatedly driven from one settlement to another by aerial bombardments that have increasingly targeted civilian sites. As violence raged up on, word spread that the settlement in the forest at the Thai border was a safe haven and that the military would not risk an airstrike there.
